I didn't drink green beer this weekend.
In fact, it was the last weekend before I get super slammed with work—GOOD work, and I'm really excited about what's coming around the corner.
In preparation for several career changes on my horizon, I finally tackled a looming deadline: updating Wittywriter7.com
While that site has been a big help for me, it's tough to keep it updated. However, I know it needs to be a priority if I expect other business leaders to respect me and hire me. No one wants a writer who can't update their own site, right?
And so, I did a slight revamp, got rid of super old stuff, added a few new features, and cleaned things up. I think you'll like the change.
I even announced some of the changes i'm anticipating. For starters, I have a new freelance gig, writing for the LA Boxing blog, which will launch later this week. I will be writing profiles of the members and trainers, as well as posting on the progress of their building expansion, and keeping up with events and fun stuff at the gym.
I never saw myself writing for a health & wellness blog, but I am thrilled and honored to be a part of something this big, and this cool!
This weekend, I am going through a training session to be a facilitator in Dialogue on Race Louisiana. I participated in three different dialogue sessions during the greater second half of last year, and the experience really changed my life.
Once I complete training, I will start facilitating a beginning Dialogue the following week at a local law firm. I am so excited to spread the word, and the empowerment, that comes with the challenge of eliminating institutional racism.
And finally, in April, the LSU Union will be announcing my class to the city, Blogging for Beginners. Registration starts May 4, and I'm so excited for sign-ups to begin. I have lots to share with my to-be students!
I am anxious, nervous, excited, but so ready for these changes coming my way. 2012 is so good!
